Using our years’ of experience, Majenta Solutions have developed a bespoke tool to help our customers identify areas where they could improve and introduce best practices. This tool is used by our team of Business Consultants to identify a potential future state for our customers, along with areas to prioritise, so that they can realise the greatest benefits in the shortest amount of time. Our tool produces a report, which can be used for further discussion or justification to proceed further.

The Business Excellence Assessment process consists of a review of 17 business processes we have identified as common for the vast majority of our customers, such as document management and product data management.

Our PLM Review is an in depth focussed review of the 17 business processes assessed with our Business Excellence Assessment. During this review, we will meet with individuals involved in each process, and fully understand the current process and then present Best Practices.

The PLM Review usually takes about a week and consists of two stages. In the first stage, our Business Consultants will spend a couple of days onsite interviewing your key personnel to fully understand how you are currently working. The second stage is that where we take a few more days to put together a report which we will then present back highlighting areas that can be improved using the very best practices that we have learnt during our 20+ years of experience.

A Business Value Assessment is an onsite review aimed at getting a comprehensive view of the company – through its objectives, challenges, business initiatives, and projects. The assessment consists of our Business Consultants interviewing key personnel throughout the company – from marketing and sales to engineering and manufacturing.

These interviews look at how a company is performing with regards to People, Processes, and Tools, and identifies non-value activities that can be reduced or eliminated. Our Business Consultants then generate a report highlighting these areas along with identifying solutions for these areas with an accompanying ROI (Return-On-Investment).

PLM Deployments

At Majenta Solutions we know how costly and time consuming delivering 3DEXPERIENCE can be, we have therefore developed a Packaged 3DEXPERIENCE Deployment solution to ensure that a rapid and cheaper deployment is possible than if it was built and deployed for each customer.

This pre-packaged solution includes a certain level of configuration of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform so that it can work with a company’s existing processes.

Majenta Solutions will work with our customers to determine their exact 3DEXPERIENCE requirements. We will then create a Bespoke 3DEXPERIENCE Deployment solution for each customer, that is set up and configured to an agreed specification.

At Majenta Solutions, we know that businesses and their processes evolve and change, and that the way 3DEXPERIENCE was originally configured may no longer be appropriate. Majenta Solutions are therefore able to provide 3DEXPERIENCE Configuration services, so that it can be used to meet a customer’s new processes and methods.

Having a working 3DEXPERIENCE platform is only part of a deployment project. Understanding how the platform is going to be used day-to-day is essential. Majenta Solutions PLM Enablement service entails working with Subject Matter Experts at a company to understand their existing processes and map these to 3DEXPERIENCE along with introducing best practices. In addition, we will also help to create User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts and use cases so that real life applicable tests are carried out. We will also support any UAT testing so that any further changes can be fed back to ensure any changes to processes or configuration changes of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform are made.

A Skills Assessment is an onsite review of the company’s skill levels. This can be for individual applications such as CATIA or for complete PLM toolsets. The aim of this assessment is to establish how proficient the users are and to provide recommendations to improve skill levels.

These assessments consist of interviewing users from different departments and to understand what applications and functionalities are being used, along with what and when any previous training may have occurred.

Our consultants will then generate a report highlighting recommendations of how to improve skill levels along with a training plan based upon users’ roles within a company.

Some companies require their training to be based on how a tool will be used, i.e. based upon their internal methods and processes.

At Majenta Solutions, we can provide bespoke training courses for our customers that are based on their internal methods and processes. This can be either generic training for all users or role-based training.

Majenta Solutions use experienced and certified trainers to deliver both standard Dassault Training or bespoke training to our customers.

The standard Dassault training is delivered using Dassault’s online Companion training system which training attendees can access for up to one year after the training has been delivered.

Majenta Solutions can also provide certifications after training has been received. As one of only a few partners in the UK, Majenta Solutions can provide Dassault approved certifications to students which are in the form of exams that students can take after training.

Majenta Solutions provides a Helpdesk for our customers to help resolve issues or queries they may have. The support provided is remote and is available via telephone, email, customer portal or webex.

Experienced Majenta Solutions consultants will answer the queries and provide application or IT-related support on the software products that have been purchased.

Majenta Solutions can provide Application Support to our customers. This is especially useful when customers have just purchased new software and supports the deployment of new software post training.

Majenta Solutions consultants can provide Application Support in a number of different ways and this support is normally a bespoke solution for each customer. The following is a list of typical Application Support services provided:

Majenta Solutions Systems Integration Support, provides the bridge between Engineering and IT that is missing from a large number of customers. Through our years of experience, we have found that in many companies the applications used for Design, Analysis, Manufacturing etc are large and complex and therefore take a large amount of specialist IT resources that most companies do not have. At Majenta Solutions we are able to take the Engineering requirements and relate and engage with IT departments to facilitate the deployment and integration of these applications with IT servers, storage and network infrastructures.

OEMs normally have planned roll-outs of new software applications or upgrades, and require their extended enterprises to adopt new software or upgrade their software at the same time.

At Majenta Solutions we are able to support OEM Upgrades, whether it’s the upgrading of a CAx system, the implementation of new software or the upgrade of Microsoft Windows and ensuring the application environments are still working as expected.

A large number of our customers support multiple OEMs, each OEM uses different versions of CATIA V5 and it is not uncommon for our customers to use the wrong version of CATIA V5 which often results in work having to be re-done. In addition, users of CATIA V5 don’t always understand the licenses they need and often when a user needs a certain capability within CATIA V5 the license is not available for use.

To help with this, Majenta Solutions have created a CATIA V5 Start Tool to ensure the right version of CATIA V5 is used and along with the right licences.
